Woolstok
Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok has been on our shelves since the day we opened, and it's not going anywhere. Sweaters, shawls, blankets, hats, colorwork, felted bags—we’ve made all of it in this yarn, and it earns its place in the lineup every single time.
Woolstok is 100% fine Highland wool from Peruvian Highland sheep, spun into a two-ply worsted with exceptional stitch definition that lets textured stitches shine while giving every colorway remarkable depth and colors feel rich and layered. The palette runs to rich, earthy, saturated tones — Cast Iron, Midnight Sea, Cranberry Compote, Ember Glow — the kind of colors that photograph like a dream and look even better in person.
The gauge range is unusually wide: 5 to 6 stitches per inch on US 6 to 11 needles. That's not a typo. This yarn genuinely works at multiple gauges, which makes it adaptable to an unusually wide range of projects.
One thing worth knowing: Woolstok will felt. That makes it perfect for felted slippers, bags, and bowls — and a firm reminder to hand wash carefully if you're not going for that effect. Tepid water, mild soap, no agitation, dry flat. Keep it away from the washing machine unless you're ready to commit to something smaller and denser than what you cast on.
Choose 50g skeins (123 yards) for the full range of colors, or 150g hanks (369 yards) in a curated selection of core shades when you’re casting on a larger project. Fewer joins. Fewer ends to weave in.

Staff notes
A staff favorite since day one. We've had nearly a decade to decide whether this yarn deserves its place, and it still does. —Kerry
