Stone Washed

Scheepjes Stone Washed gets its distinctive, slightly weathered look from contrasting fibers worked together into a softly textured yarn. Each shade has subtle variations in color, giving even simple stitches a little more depth and character than you'd get from a typical solid.

Made from 78% cotton and 22% acrylic, Stone Washed feels soft and slightly fuzzy, without the stiffness you might expect from some cotton yarns. Its subtle halo softens the appearance of stitches while still allowing textured patterns to show through.

Stone Washed is a versatile choice for shawls, relaxed sweaters, blankets, and crochet projects. Like most cotton-rich yarns, it has limited elasticity, so it isn't the best choice for designs that depend on stretchy ribbing or a snug fit. For garments, a washed gauge swatch will help you anticipate how the fabric will behave.
