Slice of Mosaic Kit
A geometric mosaic scarf, two skeins of certified organic tweed, and a pattern that does the design work for you. One yarn per row, no purling, no stress.
The Slice of Mosaic Scarf by SweaterFreak is a sideways-worked mosaic knit featuring bold triangle geometry built entirely from slipped stitches — one color per row, fully written and charted, so you can work the way you like. The result is a 56" x 14" scarf that looks considerably more complex than it was to make. That's the magic of mosaic knitting.
Each kit pairs two colorways of Ella Rae Eco Tweed — a GOTS certified organic Merino and polyamide light weight yarn — chosen specifically to work together. The tonal base and bright flecks of Eco Tweed give the finished scarf a depth and texture that solid yarns can't replicate, and each skein gives you 328 yards — well more than the 250 yards per color the pattern requires, so you'll have yarn left over for a hat, a pair of mitts, or the beginning of something else entirely.
Choose your colorway pair:
Moonlit Slate — Tumblewood + Graphite. Warm silvery oatmeal with bright multicolor flecks against deep charcoal with the same scattered specks. High contrast, graphic, and the matching flecks in both skeins tie them together in a way that reads as intentional rather than just light and dark.
Bramblewood — Maple + Iris. A rosy pinkish-taupe brown alongside a deep wine-plum. Lower contrast than the other pairs but rich and warm — the kind of combination that photographs beautifully in natural light and looks expensive without trying.
Fired Clay — Ivory + Papaya. Warm natural cream and a deep terracotta brick red. The strongest contrast of the three and the most visually striking — the one that reads from across the room.
