Have you wanted to learn to knit but didn’t know how to start?  Does knitting seem like some kind of secret magic? This class is for you! You will learn how to cast on, the knit and purl stitches, how to rib, how to cast off and how to seam.  Yarn, needles and a pattern for fingerless mitts will be provided for you. Perfect for the person who has never touched a set of needles! Get started on your new hobby in the hands of an experienced knitter. These fingerless mitts are a fun project to learn knitting, AND you’ll have a great project for gift giving. Adults only, please.

Optional: You can also buy this class packaged with four sessions of Beginner Bootcamp. Join Jennifer on Wednesday evenings (4-7pm) for a little extra help getting ready to take your next steps into your new favorite hobby. This group is ONLY available to graduates of Learn to Knit.

Time: Two 2.5 hour classes
Dates: February 15 and 22: 12:30-3:00 pm
Level 1: This class is designed for folks who have never knitted before.

Skills you need: None! This class is designed for people who have never touched needles. (If you previously learned to knit and need a refresher, we recommend a private lesson. Please contact us for more details.)

Skills you will learn: 

• Knit stitch, purl stitch, ribbing
• Cast on and cast off
• Seaming using the  mattress stitch

Supplies: Included! We will provide needles, yarn and a pattern.
