Huasco Sock Prism Paints
This is not a subtle yarn.
Huasco Sock Prism Paints is hand-painted in bold, high-contrast color — long stretches of deep, moody base color interrupted by vivid bursts of saturated brights. Hot pink. Orange. Chartreuse. Purple. The kind of colors that don't ease into each other so much as arrive. Knit up, those blocks flash dramatically across the fabric, making plain stockinette look like a deliberate design decision. It is — you just let the yarn make it.
Some colorways are also blacklight reactive. Under UV light, the brights glow. We're not saying you need a reason to bring your knitting to a rave, but if you did, this would be the yarn.
The base is the same as Araucania's classic Huasco Sock: soft superwash Merino reinforced with polyamide for durability, and mulesing-free. Soft enough for next-to-skin wear, durable enough for socks, and machine washable so you can actually wear what you make. Socks are the obvious choice, but a small shawl or cowl gives those colors even more room to misbehave.
Simple stitch patterns are the move. Let the color do the talking.
