Bonus Marl Chunky

Marl is what happens when two strands of different colors are twisted together into a single yarn. The result isn't a solid and isn't a stripe—it's something in between, a two-tone effect that reads as more visually interesting than either color would on its own.

Hayfield Bonus Marl Chunky starts with colors from the existing Hayfield Bonus palette and pairs them into new combinations. Because the shades come from an established palette, the color relationships have already been tested together. The marl does plenty of visual work on its own, so simple knitting is often enough. Stockinette and straightforward stitch patterns let both colors remain visible across the fabric, while intricate texture can get lost competing with the two-tone effect.
