Sonoma
Love Baah La Jolla? Sonoma brings that same hand-dyed beauty to a versatile DK weight yarn. Same dyer. Same rich color. A little more yarn in every stitch.
Baah Sonoma is 100% superwash Merino wool, milled in Peru and hand dyed in small batches by Mira at Baah's Nevada studio. The Merino base is smooth, springy, and genuinely soft — the kind of DK that gives you satisfying progress without sacrificing the pleasure of knitting, with enough body to hold cables and texture and enough drape to work beautifully in simple stockinette garments. Machine washable on cold, gentle cycle, which means you can actually give it as a gift without the care-label speech.
Because every skein is hand dyed individually, no two are exactly alike — even within the same colorway. That's not a disclaimer, that's the point. If you're working a larger project, alternating skeins every few rows gives you a more even blend across the finished piece.
Baah’s palette changes often, with limited editions and returning favorites throughout the year. If a colorway speaks to you, it’s worth grabbing while it’s available.
Looking for the same colors in a lighter weight? Baah La Jolla offers the same hand-dyed aesthetic on a fingering-weight Merino base that’s perfect for shawls, socks, and lightweight garments.
