Harmony Worsted
Harmony Worsted is a plied, worsted‑weight, non-superwash yarn composed of 50% wool and 50% alpaca, sourced from animals born and bred in the highlands of Peru. The yarn is processed in family-owned, fair‑trade mills in the highlands using mill ends, ensuring nothing goes to waste. Its non‑superwash finish keeps the carbon footprint low by reducing water use during production.
Despite being non-superwash, the Harmony yarns are soft enough for next-to-skin garments. The wool and alpaca fibers take the dye differently, creating a gentle heathering and a slight halo. Harmony Worsted will work equally beautifully for cabled sweaters and colorwork accessories.
You can also check out Harmony Worsted's little sister, Harmony Fingering.
