In this two hour class, you will learn at least 6 different ways to cast on and when to apply them to projects. This is a great class for knitters who want to expand beyond the beginner level! Consider this as a companion class to Sweet Endings: A Bind off Class.

Time: 1 two-hour class
Level 2: I can knit and purl and am ready to learn something new.
Skills you need: You will be most successful in this class if you know how to knit.

Skills you will learn: Multiple types of cast on

Materials:

• Worsted weight yarn, in a light color. This class works best with a non-splitty and non-acrylic yarn
• Size 8 or 9 straight or circular needles (two sets, but they don’t have to be the same size)
• Crochet hook to match the needle size

Suggested Yarns: 

• Berroco Vintage
• Berroco Ultra Wool

For the best experience, we recommend that you do not use fully synthetic or cotton yarn, or dark colors (as appropriate). As a reminder, yarn for classes must come from KGY. Visit our class policy page for more information.
