Knit, purl, cast on, and bind off are familiar now. What are the next knitting skills for the beginner to conquer? Join us to learn knitting in the round, increasing, decreasing, picking up stitches, and more as we knit the Look Out Hat in a child size.

Time: Three 1.5 hour classes
Level: 1

Skills you need: 

• Cast On
• Bind off
• Knit stitch
• Purl stitch

Skills you will learn: 

• Knitting in the Round
• Increasing

• Picking Up Stitches
• Measuring knits
• Seaming
• Tubular Edging
• (Advanced) Jogless Stripes
  

Materials:

• Size 7 16” circular  and double pointed needles (or your favorite way to work small rounds).
• Two colors of worsted weight yarn.

Suggested Yarns: 

• Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok
• Berroco Lanas, Ultra Wool or Vintage

For the best experience, we recommend that you do not use fully synthetic or cotton yarn, or dark colors). As a reminder, yarn for classes must come from KGY. Visit our class policy page for more information.
